Are there any new advances in that field? I was thinking of it because of my receding hairline. I was gonna go with Dr. Feller. He’s the nicest guy and seemed the most honest. I was wondering aside from the new advances and how good are the transplant looking is what are you thoughts on hair transplants?

i have seen plenty of bad hair transplants many years ago
but today they have improved it a million times

i am absolutely for it
they take your own hair from behind the head where your hair is thicker
and place in where you need it
they also have for the very severely bald person a more drastic way to replace hair where they actually streach the baldness and cut that part off and make it look really nice
there are a lot of options

but if you are young enough.. the future is very bright
the next thing they are coming out with is gene therapy
a new generation of people will never have to worry about hair loss again
once they start that procedure
should be within a few years.. they are very close now

Lucan he did inherit not only his baldness but also tons of money so why don’t he use it and buy some hair. Not a wig but transplant and grow his own! And don’t keep it a secret announce it to the world so the media won’t have a story to uncover. It will be known by all. The media only loves a story they think is a secret! So they can be the first with the scoop! (not a big fan)
I think PW is a very handsome guy but he is looking too old for his age. He should buy hair or shave it totally!

I’ve been losing my hair since I was about 13.

So, I recently got a hair transplant. The Dr. said he moved hair from my back onto my head.

But, I don ‘t see any missing hair in the forest that is my back. In addition the transplanted hair on my head is so curly that friends have been taunting me by calling me “Chia Pet.”

Oh, one last thing, the Dr. told me that, for safety reasons, he had to shave my pubes for the procedure.

Something doesn’t sound right. Has this ever happened to you?

pubic hair is shaved for any medical procedure…even a routine dental filling…everyone knows this. what is your issue here? you wanted hair and now you have it. true, it may be a bit knappy, but it’s better than that cue ball look you were sporting. as for the back hair…EVERYONE…EXCEPT YOU (AGAIN) knows that back hair grows extremely fast under anesthesia. you are ok…use some mouse on that nasty knappy head …ok???

hair transplants cost anywhere between £3000 and £7000. what i suggest you do is save up now and have the procedure when you need it. it is also worth noting that you may end up with extensive baldness due to you going bald at such a young age. this would mean that the transplant may not give you the results that you want. baldness is rated based on what is called the norwood scale.

stage 1 = full head of hair.

stage 2 = receding frontal hairline

hair transplant effectiveness = you could have a transplant at this stage however you would have to bear in mind that if you loose any further hair it will look strange.

stage 3 = further receding and possible bald spot at the crown.

hair transplant effectiveness = you could have a hair transplant at this stage to give you back a full head of hair however you may want to take medication like rogain or propecia to stop any subsequent hair loss.

stage 4 = temples have receded to the top of your head and a very noticable bald spot.

hair transplant effectiveness = again you could have a full restoration of your hairline at this stage, medication recommended.

stage 5 = hair line has receded to a point where there is only a thin line of hair seperating the bald spot at the crown and the receding frontal hairline.

hair transplant effectiveness = you could have a very succsessfull hair transplant procedure at this stage however medication is still recommended.

stage 6 = where the bald spot at the back has joined the bald spot at the front.

hair transplant effectiveness = now this is where it gets tricky. you can still have hair replacment at this stage however it will not give you a full hairline. at this stage what surgeons do is restore all of the hair on the top of the head but leave you with a natural looking receding hairline.

stage 7 = this is the most sevier stage where all you are left with is a thin line of hair which sits above the ears and around the back of the head.

hair transplant effectiveness = you may choose to get a transplant at this stage however you must remember that you will have limited donor hair. what surgeons typically do at this stage is leave a natural looking bald spot at the back and also leave you with a receding hairline at the front. depending on how you view things it will certainly look better post op than pre op.

if you are not happy with this then you could always consider wearing a hair peice. modern hair systems are completely undetectable and are also very durable. ie you can exercise, shower, and go swimming underwater with them. however wigs should allways be viewed as a last resort.

Though there are 1-2 other good centres in India, the best centre undoubtedly is the one at Chandigarh, about 3 hours from the national capital, Delhi.
Dr Tejinder Bhatti www.hairtransplant-india.org has a wonderful team. He did hair transplantation on my elder brother and noone can now tell he ever was bald just 2 years back. The result is so very natural. I cannot believe we paid an eighth of the cost they were charging in USA.
Indian doctors are the best.

My life changed the day that I finally decided to shave it all off. No more worries. No more self esteem issues. No more being self conscious. No more baseball hats.It even makes you feel tougher.
Bald is much more attractive than balding. And I promise that at some point you will have some girl run her hand over the stubble and say how cool if feels.
It always grows back if you want it to.
